My dad said that PT INALUM used to take care of that road but the company was closed down already and the road is now left as-is. And at the moment I’m already at Prapat and look forward to seeing Toba Lake tomorrow. Let’s check out how this place is. I hope it’s well-maintained.

So, basically, they haven’t done much to repair to road huhh?! Man, Salib Kasih is a touristic attraction, provincial government should work harder to make it easier for the visitor to reach it. The condition of touristic places in North Sumatra is a disgrace.

And I was about to write “Tobing” up there but I’m afraid of being mistaken. Given that you have confirmed that story, I’m going to add that. Hahahaha.

Do you have any idea why most people act the same way here? It’s amazingly crazy. I crossed the road in Tarutung and there were cars heading towards me. Instead of slowing down, they accelerated their cars and sounded their car horn! WHAT?!

And roads are still bad and holes are deep. It’s Sigura-gura next to the road and it’s scary.

I can still recall the last time I went there. It was around 4 years ago. Is the road leading there still bad? There were a lot of deep holes in the road, which wasn’t even covered by asphalt. We had to drive through rough and mountainous terrain. To make matters even worse, it was one of my crazy aunts who drove the car, she couldn’t tolerate the existence of other cars in front of her’s.

Unfortunately, the story about two missionaries who got eaten by Bataknese spread like wildfire among my foreign friends here, hahaha. Until now, they love to tease me for belonging to ex-cannibalistic tribe.
