I’ve done some changes in the post list in the front page, solve some CSS problem, added the thumbnail feature for post list in front page, archive, and search page, modify the comment list style, and added the WP-PageNavi plugin support. Pages and sub-pages in the top navigation bar are now shown automatically.
The Updates
Automatic page listing and new search button in navigation bar.
The new Arthemia can list pages in your blog automatically. Unlike the old one, you do not have to hard-code the PHP file if you update your page title and structures. Drop-down lists will show sub-pages so do not forget to assign the page parent in the page editing panel. I added a fixed-sized search button (the magnifier) to overcome CSS incompatibilities across browser. Anyway, there is a consequences of this automatic page listing feature, if you have too many pages in your blog, all of them will be displayed here and the design will break.
Minor changes in CSS styling.
I did some minor changes in heading styles especially for single post pages. I simplify the design and get rid of the icons. The WP-Email and WP-Print plugin are not used anymore in this theme due some incompatibility issues. To show the number of view in a post, you still need the WP-PageView plugin from Lesterchan.net. I added a black-colored breadcrumbs feature in every page, including single posts, pages, archive, and search page. If you want to show author name, category, and tags, you can edit the file single.php and add the commands.
Working thumbnails in front page, archive, search page.
Post are listed along with its thumbnails while the post list uses the excerpt feature from WP. By default, excerpt is the first 55 first words of the post content but due to some aesthetic consideration, I modify the function.php file to make custom excerpts showing 90 first words of the page. Thumbnails are now working in all pages and are generated automatically. It is 150 pixel-square-sized thumbnails, with a 1 pixel border, and 2 pixels padding. You can find these thumbails in the front page (bottom-left), archive page, and search page.
A new style of comment list.
I was a little bored with the old style of comment list so I do some minor changes in it. Gravatars now have borders and taken outside the gray comment box. The gravatar was 45 pixels square and I added 5 more pixels. If you want to modify the comment template to your own liking, you can go to the comment.php and style.css and edit the templates anyway you like it.

I like this theme and I want to purchase it but I dont like that the footer has a black background. I saw the admin panel and there is no option to change the colors of background or add background images.
There should be option to change colors of the post heading, links, theme etc.
I have purchased this theme, please welcome me. hehe. Please give option to change colors and I want to show tags, categories in 2 column excerpts. Please help.

How to increase the number of category display in the middle part section of the main templete.
Default is 5 i want to display 8
You have to do some css stuff here and also several hardcode in your index.php, archive.php and search.php (If you want to display it in index page, archive page and search page)
Let me give you some hints.
Open your style.css and …
1.Find .category and change the width.
2.Find #cat-2, #cat-4 and change to #cat-2, #cat-4, #cat-6, #cat-8
3.Find #cat-1, #cat-3, #cat-5 and change to #cat-1, #cat-3, #cat-5, #cat-7
Open your index.php and …
1. Find
2. Edit the numbers in
<?php $display_categories = array(#Cat ID 1,#Cat ID 2,...,#Cat ID 5); $i = 1;and add the #Cat ID 6, 7, 8.Similar thing on the archive and search page.

Anyway, is there any possibility to convert it to blogspot? –> I’m still hoping.. hehe..
This template is already transfered to blogger platform. (I’m not sure who did this.)

FYI. I’ve tried this theme on blogger but it doesn’t have the Headline and Featured part. It also cannot display the thumbnail image (correctly). There should be lots of hardwork (hardcode) to do to make the blogger template similar to this wordpress themes.

Ive been using Arthemia for awhile now and love it. I just upgraded to the new free one and its great, thanks!
I did notice one problem through and not quite sure what it causing it. It has to do with timthumb.php. The images were not displaying at all and if I right-clicked to “view image” i got an error along the lines of “unable to display imagename.jpg - image has errors in it”.
I replaced the timthumb.php file with the one that came with the original Arthemia theme and everything worked fine.
just a heads up in case anyone else experiences a problem.
I have the same problem when I use this theme. timthumb.php is not really work as what I desired. I try to do some hardcode but still I can’t figure out how to solve the problem. That’s why now, I don’t use timthumb.php.
I use a plugin called alakhnor-post-thumb. It is easier to configure as it has lot’s of parameter that I can control how the thumbnails should display.

version confusion. I’ve checked out your comparison chart but is there is version 2.0 of your Premium theme? It looks like your ‘free’ theme is at 2.0 but your premium theme is lagging?
Well, the free theme is lagging and the premium theme is actually on development. Purchase it now and you’ll be receiving updates again and again. But it doesn’t mean that I have to post any Premium theme updates in my blog, don’t I?
Hey, what plugins are required for the premium theme? Your documentation is a bit light.

Yes, It can be used in the latest wordpress. Even the 2.6.5. I use this theme on my wordpress 2.6.5 blog. You can see it in action on my blog Sukses
I want to controll the excerpt feature differently for features part, headline and blog list.

You can use the plugin : the_excerpt_reloaded. It is easy to use. It is hardcoded into your theme. Also you can see it in action in my blog Sukses. It use the_excerpt_reloaded plugin.
